Lisa Chamberlain

Lisa Chamberlain was born in Provo, Utah but grew up in a one-stoplight town in Nevada, a wind-swept Wyoming college town, and the heart of Utah’s coal mining community. She now lives in Castle Dale, Utah where she is in the process of building a new studio. Storybook animals seem to be the subject of much of her work but most of her sculptures are really about some aspect of the human experience on this planet. Though she does commissions (such as portrait busts, and personalized headstone pieces) the majority of her work is considered fantasy and has been described as “serious whimsy”.
